About the environment

Your sustainable and environmental friendly lunchboxes are the first step in our fight against plastic. The traditional food wrapping in banana leaves and a new cooperation with Maasai honey, that covers traditional kitenge material with bee wax, are our tools to avoid plastic wrapping.

The ingredients are all bought at the local market or supermarket and produced in Tanzania. The menu combines traditional cuisine with a touch of western influence. We are proud to call our team responsible with using nature’s resources and creative in reusing or recreating exciting new ideas to reduce our environmental footprint.

Plastic bottles are a huge waste on every safari. We appeal to our clients to bring their own reusable bottles with them – or we offer to borrow one from us. We will use one big container to refill drinking water during the safari.

Of course we will consider your personal diet in our food planning – if it is vegetarian, vegan or any food intolerance. Our cooks are trained to attend to all of your special needs!
